Sign For Work is a leading provider of employment services to the Deaf and hard of hearing communities and we will help you find and keep meaningful and sustainable employment. Our high performing service has been operating since 1998 and our help is cost free.

Sign For Work program is coordinated by Deaf person, has Deaf Employment Consultants and qualified Auslan interpreters, and staff who use Auslan. At Sign For Work we communicate in Auslan and in spoken English, as we understand the communication needs of our Deaf and hard of hearing clients can be diverse.

Sign For Work staff can meet with you and provide individualised employment assistance. Our staff also work with employers to ensure workplace accessibility for Deaf and hard of hearing employees.

The range of services offered can include:

  • individual advice and support in working towards life goals and career aspirations
  • qualified and experienced staff that can customise a program to meet job seekers’ needs, e.g. a part-time work focus or referral to additional supports
  • support with interviews including Auslan Interpreters
  • résumé development & assistance with writing cover letters
  • marketing support as we can contact employers on your behalf
  • support when you start a new job, including Auslan Interpreters if required. We continue to provide support to ensure you are happy and going well in your job
  • referral to education or training courses
  • free access to our job search facilities including computers, the internet, photocopying and mail-out services
 Job in Jeopardy, at risk of losing your job?

 Having difficulties at work? Are you at risk of losing your job? Having difficulty communicating with your employer or co-workers?

Our Job in Jeopardy program is designed to assist you to maintain your current employment. We can provide assistance towards solving some of these difficulties, by giving you guidance, or by talking with both you and your employer.
